Vendange 2011

Here we go !

In the first days of September, we started harvesting the Touraine Sauvignon and our small plot of Gamay. The cabernet has yet to wait a bit and the next few days will be very important. Especially no rain. If the weather conditions are in our favor, we can achieve a very good vintage.

Pray and cross your fingers.

New : Perles fines, , all in elegance

Fine Pearls in Touraine appellation take on a new face.

It is a sparkling wine with a very fine, delicate bubble and well-marked Chenin aromas. From its first tasting, it was blindly selected for its quality by the wine syndicate of Touraine, who will present it at the Brunch of the Loire Valley wine fair 2012.

A good opportunity to taste this wine and to join the useful to pleasant.

Vendange 2012

Today, we started to harvest the Touraine Sauvignon. Despite bad weather at the beginning of the season, the month of August and September brought the grapes to full maturity.

It’s still too early to say, but the 2012 vintage might surprise us with its quality. The vintage of sauvignon is perfect in balance and taste. Case to follow.

Challenge Millésime Bio

For the first time at the Challenge Millesime Bio a Chinon received the Gold Medal.

It’s the Chinon “Clos de la Bonneliere”, a new wine from Marc Plouzeau that’ll be available in February 2013. This wine is coming from the vineyards around the Chateau. Very mature and full body wine.

At the same time, the Chinon Chapelle 2011 received a silver medal. A good performance.

Open House at Bonnelière 2013

A great day at Bonnelière.

Sunday, September 15, 2013 on the occasion of Heritage Day, we opened the doors of the Château de la Bonnelière.

On this occasion, we launched our rare wine “L’Antephylloxéra”. From the Clos de Maulévrier, “Antephylloxera” has an annual production of 1200 bottles, it has conquered many palates!

A very beautiful day where wine, heritage and music were perfectly combined.

An experience that we will renew.

The integral vinification

This year, we have innovated by resorting to integral vinification, which is a process that makes it possible to put the grapes in contact with the barrels at the beginning of the alcoholic fermentation.

To begin we selected the most beautiful parcels and sorted the grapes by hand on a sorting table to guarantee its quality, then we passed them to the destemmer (to separate the seeds from the bunch).

The kernels were then poured into 600-liter open oak barrels (half-muid).

We have drawn the barrels (technique consisting in pressing the marc hat with a pestle in order to extract the material).
We stored the wine in barrels of 400 liters, then we pulled them and put in the initial half-muids.

We will leave this wine in breeding for 12 months minimum.
